Douglas Greenberger, Associate, joined Newmark Associates CRE as a Sales Associate in 2018 after many years as an investor and owner/operator in both the New York City and Morris County, New Jersey markets. Beginning in New York, in 1984, he purchased, redeveloped, operated and sold retail and residential portfolios in New York City where the diversity of his experience ranged from co-op and condominium evaluation, building management and tenant/contractor relationship facilitation on the upper East Side to earlier experience in heavy construction and refining and delivery in the oil industry.

Most recently, Mr. Greenberger has been engaged in managing a family-owned historical, office, and retail complex in downtown Morristown, New Jersey. Given his broad experience in the real estate industry, he has earned designations from the Building Owners and Management Association International (BOMA); including, RPA (Real Property Administrator and FMA (Facilities Management Administrator).

Shifting his former, primary role in the real estate industry from that of investment, ownership and construction now to the brokerage side of transactions, he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise from both sides of the negotiation table to the Newmark team. His focus at Newmark will be on the office, retail and industrial markets of Northern New Jersey.

Mr. Greenberger graduated from Pratt Institute in New York City with a Bachelor of Industrial Design and a Concentration in Fine Art. He has been an active member of the Morristown Rotary for 20 years, having held the position of Club President from 2015-2016; and is a Trustee of the Morristown Green. He is an avid local, national and international traveler, interested in cultural anthropology, who is currently living with his wife in Morris County, and together they have a son in college.
