Marjorie Dorne Murphy, Associate, a recent addition to Newmark Associates CRE, hails from a richly diverse career. Her experience includes her position as Executive Assistant to a former Secretary of the US Treasury, Personal Lines Appraiser for the Chubb Group, Construction Manager for a high-profile architectural firm in Morristown, and Property Manager for multiple luxury condominium buildings on New Jersey’s Gold Coast towns of Hoboken and Jersey City.

Having maintained an active referral realtor license for almost 20 years, which was held by the residential firm of Alexander Realtors in New Vernon and a full time Sales Associate at Turpin Realtors in Bernardsville, Ms. Murphy transferred to commercial real estate with the Newmark team.

Her experience working for high-profile industry leaders in both executive assistant and management positions has cultivated in her a strong and sound work ethic, an instinctive ability to listen to customers and a relentless approach to problem-solving. She has proven her commitment of serving the public with meticulous follow-up in project management; and above all, a respect for people, their needs and their time.

A lifelong resident of New Jersey, mostly in Morris County, Marjorie has always felt that “real estate is the best investment anyone can make.”

She was graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a Bachelor of Education degree and taught for several years before entering the insurance industry as a Personal Lines Appraiser.

Marjorie, also a Personal Trainer, most recently became certified in Senior Fitness. She enjoys almost any physical activity and teaches weight training in Morristown. Marjorie finished the New York Marathon in 2013 and has participated in numerous 5 and 10K fundraisers. She lives in Harding Township where she volunteers with the local Fire Department auxiliary, with her husband who also volunteers as an EMT. They enjoy playing tennis and golf along with her two adult children.
