Newmark Associates

Nonprofit Organizations Choose Newmark

With a rising client demand to maximize monetization and utilization of real estate assets, Newmark Associates CRE has a real instinct for opening new possibilities and creating outside-the-box solutions for nonprofit entities.

Since 2005 Yosef Muskin, Senior Sales Associate at Newmark Associates sees industry fluctuations as an occasion to switch gears, stay on top of changing markets, and find new solutions for clients in the nonprofit, office and industrial markets of Northern and Central New Jersey.  Prior to joining Newmark Associates, Mr. Muskin, the son of a clergyman, served as both CEO and COO for New Jersey Jewish Federations, along with other executive positions in the nonprofit world, bringing a broad range of marketing and negotiation skills to Newmark.

“The knowledge of the organizational dynamics of not-for-profits including religious institutions certainly helps in understanding that community’s unique challenges.  In addition to often facing monetary limitations, not-for-profit organizations include leadership and board involvement in their decision-making process,” Mr. Muskin said.

Finalizing a transaction for nonprofits rests with a larger group of people, not an individual buyer or seller as in the case of sole proprietorships.

First quarter revenue at Newmark included the $1.3 million sale of a three building church complex in Bloomfield, New Jersey by Mr. Muskin.  Exclusive agent for several other churches, he is completing transactions for a 40,000 sf church complex in Trenton, and another three-building church operation in Bloomfield.

Continuing to reach out to the nonprofit community, Mr. Muskin recently initiated exclusive agency for a listing in Newark, the Upshaw Temple Church of God in Christ at 595 S. 18th Street in Newark, New Jersey.  The property, located in the redevelopment zone/district of the Valisburg section of the city, features a sanctuary, offices, social hall and kitchen.  It is in close proximity to the Garden State Parkway and NJ Transit.

In addition to offering properties for sale, Muskin pointed out that “We represent many clients and are actively searching for facilities which meet their real estate requirements.”
